Marc Pontet joined Group La Poste in 1991.

After graduating from the Institute of Political Studies of Bordeaux, Marc Pontet held various positions within the Group Headquarters, in the Finance and Strategy Departments and International Mail Division.

These leading and strategic management positions included Head of Marketing & Sales of the Mail Division before joining Asendia.

If Marc is not in the office planning and creating the future of Asendia, he likes travelling, reading and listening to music or simply spending time with family and friends.

Imke Boer

Imke Boer Head of Continental Europe

Imke Boer joined Swiss Post International in 2001.

After graduating in Business Engineering, Imke Boer wanted to see more of the world and for eighteen months she travelled through Alaska, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and Thailand.

In 1998, she returned to The Netherlands and joined TNT International Mail as an Account Executive, later becoming Commercial Manager and a year later, Commercial & Finance Manager. At Swiss Post International Netherlands Imke Boer made the switch to Finance Director and from 2007 she took charge of the entire company as General Manager.

She likes to spend her free time pursuing outdoor activities and spending time with her family and friends.

Matthieu Martin joined Swiss Post Solutions in 2001.

After graduating with a Master of Business Administration, Finance and Management, Matthieu Martin started out as a Controller at Swiss Post Solutions in 2001. He then worked as a Chief Financial Officer in France, abroad in the USA, in Vietnam and in Paris. Through these positions, he gained experience in subsidiaries and in head office; taking care of process optimization across borders, providing leadership to his decentralized teams for IFRS and local GAAP consolidations, leading integrations and mergers and developing reporting structures.

In his free time, Matthieu likes outdoors activities such as fly fishing and spend time with his family.

Barbara Saskia Schielke

Barbara Saskia Schielke Chief Human Resources Officer

Barbara Saskia Schielke joined Swiss Post in 2003.

Since graduating with a master's degree in industrial and organizational psychology, she has been working for Swiss Post in various strategic HR-roles and leading companywide HR-related projects. Before joining Asendia, she was a member of the HR-leadership team in the logistics department of Swiss Post, taking responsibility for employment regulations, total compensation, HR-marketing and HR tools.

Barbara also holds a master’s degree in Human Capital Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Law.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, especially on motorhome trips and biking tours.

Renaud Marlière

Renaud Marlière joined Group La Poste in 2003.

Renaud Marlière started his career in 1994 as account manager for a French fulfilment company (Formule 5). This first experience was the starting point of an 18 year career in the direct mail and small parcel business in companies such as Royal Mail and Spring France. In 2003, he joined Group La Poste and took on new responsibilities as Head of Sales and Distribution for La Poste Global Mail in 2010.

Renaud Marlière has a Master in Business Administration and in Direct Marketing.

In the coming months, he will be attempting to beat his personal best for the marathon.

André Maurer joined Swiss Post in 1986.

After a few years working for post offices in Zürich and Geneva in 1990 he started working for the Mail Sorting Centre in Zurich. In 1994 he took over responsibility for the International Exchange Office of Zurich 1 and started his career in the international mail business. In 2000 he joined Swiss Post International and following several management jobs in IT & Logistics, he was promoted to Member of the Management Board of Swiss Post International, in charge of Global Operations & Network Management.

André Maurer studied Logistics Management at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and graduated with an Executive Diploma HSG and the European Master Logistician Level (EMLog) from the European Logistics Association. He lectures in logistics education programs at GS1 Switzerland and acts as an expert for logistics exams.

Out of the office he likes to travel and enjoys Geocaching.

Lionel Berthe Head of Asia

Lionel Berthe joined the Group La Poste in 1995 after graduating in finance and law from the Institute of Political Studies and receiving a joint master from HEC business school and Paris University.

Lionel has held various positions inside the La Poste group, starting in HR department at headquarter level, then moving to different roles in the international activities of the group. First in the international mail businesses, at headquarter level, then as business development manager for North America, and then head of strategy and M&A, and later moving into a newly created subsidiary, La Poste UK limited, as the first CEO of the company. Returning from the UK, Lionel took a position in the French B2C parcel division of La Poste, Coliposte, as International Operations Director, a position he occupied for six years before joining Asendia in August 2012.

Out of office, Lionel enjoys reading history books and spending time with his family, playing football with friends and mountain biking.

Marina Bartetzko-Meyer, joined Swiss Post International in 1995.

After completing her school leaving exams, Marina Bartetzko-Meyer worked as a publicity assistant in the field of Advertising and Media. She acquired her marketing competence working as a product manager with Henniez and Nestlé before taking up her position in 1995 as Head of Marketing & Communication at Swiss Post International. Marina Bartetzko-Meyer also gained a wealth of knowhow at the Swiss Training Centre for Marketing, Advertising and Communication (SAWI), the University of St. Gallen (HSG), the IMD Institute in Lausanne and at the INSEAD Business School in Fontainebleau (France).

In her free time, Marina Bartetzko-Meyer likes to be adventurous and try out new things. You will often find her on the water or climbing a mountain together with her family.

Sonia Scharfman

Sonia Scharfman Deputy-CEO, Head of Asendia France

Sonia Scharfman began her career in 1992, where she was responsible for defending La Poste's position on liberalization issues with the European Commission.

In 1995, she joined the International Mail Department at the time of its creation to set up the first dedicated sorting centers for worldwide customers. She left La Poste in 1997 to serve as a consultant specializing in change management for strategic projects.

She returned to La Poste in 2007 and joined the management of Courrier Strategy as Director of Regulatory Affairs, then to MEDIAPOST Communication and at the Digital Branch of La Poste as Corporate Secretary in charge of governance, synergies, human resources and communication. She has recently returned to the international scene in 2017, by taking the position of CEO of Asendia France.

In her free time, Sonia enjoys travelling with her family all over the world.

In 1987 Michael J. Hastings was cofounder of Brokers Worldwide, now part of Group La Poste.

However it was in 1975 that Michael J. Hastings started his professional career in the Logistics Management and Shipping industry at FedEx in Philadelphia, PA. He was one of the founding members of Brokers Worldwide in 1987 which grew to one of the largest international mail and parcel distribution companies in the United States.

Michael J. Hastings received his degree in communications from Montgomery College Philadelphia, PA. Prior to joining Asendia, he was CEO of Brokers Worldwide, a US subsidiary of Group La Poste.

Out of office Michael J. Hastings enjoys reading, playing golf and spending time with his family.

Rob has worked in the international mail and parcels industry for 27 years and most recently has served as the CEO of Globegistics, Inc. since its inception in 2011. He is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and veteran of Operation Desert Storm. Prior to leading Globegistics Rob was President of Pitney Bowes International Mail Services and EVP, Sales International Mail Express (IMEX).

Rob is an experienced executive with strong leadership and communication skills with a proven track record for innovation and consistent, goal-oriented management. Rob has created a culture based on values of integrity, teamwork, performance and competitive spirit.

Rob lives on Long Island, NY married to his wife Patti for over 30 years and has three children.

Simon has worked in the mail and parcels industry for 19 years; the last 10 years within the international arena. He started his career with Royal Mail Group after having studied for his degree at the University of Nottingham and Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE, Madrid). He held a number of roles in Royal Mail Group, within projects/change management, operations, commercial, ecommerce and product development, and then as International Director (Parcels), managing the Parcelforce Worldwide international business, including global relationships and alliances. He joined DPDgroup in Paris in 2011, holding Board positions within several international investments, leading product /sales development in overseas markets as MD of DPD Global Solutions, and working on market entry strategies. Simon then took then over as CEO of wnDirect in January 2017. Simon has an MBA from Warwick Business School in the UK, holds his MCIM (Chartered Institute of Marketing) and is married with a young daughter.
