A niche magazine publisher, Samedan, have been working with Asendia for the distribution of their quarterly and monthly magazines, including the polywrapping services and the occasional inserts. The magazines are wrapped and distributed from our 43,000 sq. ft. ISO-certified facility in Bedford where we process approximately 140,000 publications a year.

Samedan publishes niche pharmaceutical magazines, which have established themselves as essential industry reading: European Biopharmaceutical Review, International Clinical Trials, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing & Packing Sourcer, European Pharmaceutical Contractor and Innovations in Pharmaceutical Technology. In addition, Samedan also publishes a monthly newspaper, Pharmafocus. All these titles attract high profile authors and cover all the industry’s hottest topics and developments.

The Challenge

Since 2009, Samedan have required UK and worldwide distribution of its quarterly and monthly titles, including polywrapping, with occasional inserts such as DVD’s or bookmarks.

The Solution

Asendia provides carrier sheets printed with the subscribers’ details, machine enclosed with the magazines in polythene wraps at our 43,000 sq. ft. ISO-certified facilities in Bedford, processing around 140,000 publications a year. The magazines are mail sorted to provide Samedan with the best postal options and rates.

Asendia has the facilities to print and wrap at high speed, sort and prepare the magazines for posting. Being part of a global organisation, and owned by La Poste and Swiss Post, means Asendia can provide a complete and efficient global posting solution for Samedan at affordable prices. Our solution allows Samedan the peace of mind that their magazines are being expertly distributed, so they can concentrate on operating their publishing business.
